Highroad Missions 2024 is sending a team of grade 10-12s to the Philippines during spring break. Highroad will be working with Clean Water International. We will be fundraising in and out of the school to build a village safe water filter. This costs about $14 000. You can imagine how having safe water would change the health and life of people in a village. The team will be working in the water filter factory, visiting the village, ministering to the kids and experiencing Christ in the city of Davao on the island of Mindinao. Team members raise their own support and the team fundraises for the project.
Different fundraising events include High School concession once a month -first Oct. 17; two Pay to Wear Casual days with a hot lunch option (first is Nov. 6) order through MunchALunch, poinsettia sales - order online, a Mission Info & Dessert night in January.
Highroad has sent many teams of students to work in different countries over the years; Japan, Brazil, Zambia, and the Philippines are just a few. Most recently Highroad has sent teams to Guatemala and Thailand.
The Guatemala teams partner with Compelling Love Ministries, run by Rocky and Karren Chupa, to build a school classroom in a needy village. Once the village has a school, the government provides a teacher, and the future of the village changes. The build is a partnership between Highroad (workers and finances), the village (manpower and kids) and the government (teacher) in order to change lives. The Highroad team also works with the village in providing a VBS (Vacation Bible School) experience for the local children.

In Thailand, we partner with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) and Victory Asia where we support Highroad alumni, now missionary Matt Watson and his wife Rebecca. We work in children’s /orphanage ministry, medical clinic support, and support for vulnerable and displaced people.
